Management Team

Arthur Brown retired in 2006 as Chairman of Hecla Mining Company (NYSE: HL). During Mr. Browns 39 year tenure at Hecla, he held several senior operating positions becoming President of Hecla Mining Company in 1986 and was named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 1987.

Mr. Brown graduated from Witwatersrand Technical College, South Africa, as a mining engineer in 1961. Following his graduation, he worked at Cementation Co. in Canada until 1967, when he began his career with Hecla Mining Company as an industrial engineer.

Mr. Brown serves as a director on the boards of AMCOL International Corporation (NYSE: ACO) where he also serves as a member of the audit and compensation committees. Mr. Brown is also a director of the Idaho Independent Bank. He is a former Director of the National Mining Association and served as a Director of The Gold Institute and The Silver Institute (Past President). He is past president of the Idaho Mining Association and a Trustee for the University of Montana Foundation (Past Chairman).

Mr. Nelson joined Silvermex in 2006 and was appointed as CEO in 2009. He has over 25 years of private and public sector experience with a focus on early-stage projects. Before joining the Company, he was involved in the development, structure, operations and financings of a number of resource-oriented companies. He is the founder of Quotemedia Inc., a successful financial market data company established in 1998. He was also the founder and CEO of Stock Deck Communications.

Mr. Callahan serves as President of Silvermex Resouces. Before joining Silvermex Mr. Callahan served as Vice President Corporate Development of Hecla Mining Co. from 2002 to 2006 and President of Minera Hecla Venezolana, a subsidiary of Hecla Mining Co., from 2000 to 2003, leading Hecla's Venezuelan operations. Mr. Callahan joined Hecla Mining in 1989 and held a variety of positions including Director, Accounting & Information Services and Senior Financial Analyst before being named Vice President.

Ms. Dea is a chartered accountant with over 15 years experience in the mining and public company accounting environments. Prior to joining Silvermex Resources as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Dea was the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Polaris Minerals Corporation from 2006 to 2011. Ms. Dea also spent eleven years at Deloitte & Touche LLP, achieving the position of Senior Manager, where she focused on mining and junior resource companies. Ms. Dea obtained her Chartered Accountants designation in 1997 and holds a BComm from the University of British Columbia.

Mr. Peppin served as Chief Engineer and Project Manager with Hecla Mining Company. Prior to his tenure with Hecla, Mr. Peppin worked in a senior capacity at numerous mining operations throughout the US. Mr. Peppin is a 1972 graduate of the Colorado School of Mines in Mining Engineering.

Ms. Grant has been involved in the mining industry leading investor relations since 2005, specializing in marketing and strategic communications for the investment community. Prior to joining Silvermex Resources, she was Manager of Investor Relations for Miranda Gold Corp. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Victoria as well as a Marketing Communications degree from the British Colombia Institute of Technology.

Ms. Segovia brings to Silvermex her experience in all aspects of corporate administration and regulatory filing. From 2002 until joining Silvermex, she held the position of Senior Administrator, Translator and Executive Assistant at Silver Standard Resources Inc. Ms. Segovia is a CTTIC Certified Spanish Translator and a Member of the B.C. Society of Translators & Interpreters. She holds a BA degree in Administrative Computer Science from the University of Mexico.
